Just hours after IAB leaked the Tata Tiago NRG’s exterior, interior images have surfaced, thanks to IAB reader Ujjwal Saxena. The new variant has started reaching dealerships ahead of its launch tomorrow in Mumbai.
The Tata Tiago NRG has an all-black interior with features like Canyon Orange highlights and a unique “denim” inspired fabric with contrast orange stitch pattern. It comes packed with every top-of-the-line feature such as 6-way adjustable driver seat, 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker sound system, cooled glovebox and more.
‘NRG’ (read: eNeRGy) is a cross-style variant of the Tata Tiago. Extra body cladding, black hood applique, faux skid plates, “squircle” shaped wheel arches, 14-inch dual-tone DurAlloy wheels, muscular finisher on the tailgate (in the same design as on the Tata Kite 4 concept), “Infinity” black roof and roof rails and a 10 mm higher ground clearance (180 mm) make it tougher and more stylish.
With a length and height of 3,793 mm and 1,587 mm respectively, the Tiago NRG is 47 mm longer and 50 mm higher. Tata Motors will offer it with the familiar 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel, both coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine develops 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque.
Fuel economy rating (ARAI) isn't out yet, but just for reference, the Tiago’s rating is 23.84 km/l (petrol)/27.28 km/l (diesel).
