The first batch of new Maruti Ciaz has started reaching authorised dealerships. As has been the case with most mid-cycle facelifts, the 2018 Ciaz comes with a restyled front-end. It features a sleek front grille, a sportier bumper, and updated headlamps. The headlamps feature a LED projector setup along with LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs). The rear-end receives a new set of tail lights.

Even the interior gets some changes. The dashboard comes with a new faux wood trim, which has a lighter colour tone. The car also gets a revised instrument panel with a coloured MID. Maruti Suzuki has introduced cruise control with the latest update. The company has enhanced safety with the addition of a seatbelt reminder for the front passenger and a speed alert system. The latter works by sounding a beep if the car is being driven above 80 km/h.

Powering the petrol variant of the Maruti Ciaz facelift is the all-new 1.5-litre K15B engine. It produces 104.7 PS of maximum power and 138 Nm of peak torque in the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga. It will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. A 4-speed automatic transmission will be optional. For the first time, the Ciaz petrol features SHVS mild-hybrid tech for enhanced efficiency now. According to a report, the new Ciaz petrol delivers a fuel economy of 21.56 km/l (MT)/20.28 km/l (AT). The Ciaz diesel continues using the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre Multijet engine.
