The Mahindra Marazzo will have its market launch on September 3. Expected to be positioned between the Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta, it will be offered in 7- and 8-seat variants, images have confirmed.
The Mahindra Marazzo will debut a new 1.5-liter diesel engine with reported power and torque outputs of 121 hp and 300 Nm respectively. Initially, Mahindra will offer only a 6-speed manual gearbox with this engine. The same engine and gearbox combination will be offered on the upcoming Mahindra S201 sub-4 metre SUV as well.
On the feature front, the Mahindra Marazzo will offer dual airbags, ABS, EBD and rear parking sensors on all variants, according to the report. Other equipment highlights will include cruise control, diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, projector headlights, a touchscreen entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, surround AC, leatherette seats and reverse camera.
The Mahindra Marazzo (codename Mahindra U321) is the first passenger vehicle to be co-engineered by Mahindra North American Technical Centre (MNATC) and Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai, India, and co-designed by Mahindra's design centre in Kandivali, Mumbai, and Pininfarina. The homegrown automaker says the Marazzo is inspired by the shark.

Mahindra will follow up the launch of the Marazzo with the Mahindra S201 sub-compact SUV and the Mahindra Rexton mid-size SUV. Both products are announced to launch this financial year with the Rexton reported to launch before Diwali.
