The India-spec Civic is expected with a 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine and a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, both four-cylinder units. The former will feature a single turbocharger (as opposed to the Euro-spec model's twin turbo system) to save costs and develop 120 PS and 300 Nm of torque. It will be paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The petrol engine is expected with manual and CVT 'boxes though.
