Earlier today, Honda announced the updated 2019 Honda Civic with minor design updates, and it is this model that will launch in India early next year. As seen in our comparison images, one really needs to pay attention to spot differences between the older Civic and the 2019 model year update.
The front end sees the Honda wing in piano black instead of chrome, and the front bumper, which sports a mild redesign for edginess, now gets a full width front splitter. Honda says that the headlights have been updated as well, though halogen lights continue to remain the standard fitment with LEDs being an option. Other exterior changes include new alloy wheel designs and a chrome accent on the lower bumper.
There are no changes inside the cabin aside from an updated 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a volume button. All variants of the 2019 Civic for the North American market are getting Honda's Sensing technology which includes a whole suite of driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking system with forward collision warning.

The India-spec Civic is expected with a 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine and a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, both four-cylinder units. The former will feature a single turbocharger (as opposed to the Euro-spec model's twin turbo system) to save costs and develop 120 PS and 300 Nm of torque. It will be paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The petrol engine is expected with manual and CVT 'boxes though.
