The 2018 Maruti Swift, launched in February at the Auto Expo has received excellent response from Indian buyers. In April 2018, it was the second highest selling car in India managing to outsell the Maruti Alto.

Sales of the new Maruti Swift stood at 22,776 units in April while the Alto managed 21,233 units. Interestingly, though, despite posting such a high number, the Swift was unable to match its April 2017 tally of 23,802 units.
