The Tata Nexon AMT has started reaching dealerships, images posted by The Automotive India forum member iwarind have revealed. This means that the AMT variant’s launch is just around the corner.
The Tata Nexon AMT is available in both petrol and diesel. No rivalling model offers a diesel-AMT combination currently in our market. The 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotorq engine in the AMT variant have the same specifications as in the MT variant. The petrol engine produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine develops 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. A 6-speed automated manual transmission sends the drive to the front wheels.
The Tata Nexon AMT is the first vehicle with AMT in India to have three drive modes (Eco, City and Sport). These drive modes are selectable in both automatic and manual tip-tronic transmission modes. A creep function makes driving in Stop-and-Go city traffic and reversing easier. A Smart Hill Assist feature prevents the SUV from rolling back on uphill drives during heavy traffic. A PEPS key is exclusive to the AMT variant, providing a keyless entry with a wristband in style.
