Another spy shot of the Mahindra U321 has cropped up online ahead of its expected launch before the 2018 festive season. The image was shared by a Team-BHP user who spotted the test mule in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The U321 will be Mahindra's third product based on a monocoque chassis after the XUV500 and KUV100. As evident from this and numerous other spy shots shared in the past, the Toyota Innova rival has a typical MPV silhouette to help maximise cabin space. The test mule can be seen sporting 6-split spoke two-tone alloy wheels, black headlamp bezels, and Mahindra's signature 'toothed' grille.
A spy video of the Mahindra U321 revealed a dual-tone dashboard, chrome trim for the air vents, AC controls and gearshift lever, large touchscreen infotainment system, chrome door handles, front centre armrest, fabric upholstery and automatic climate control.
As per a previous report, the Mahindra U321 will debut a new 1.6-litre diesel engine that develops 125 hp and 305 Nm. There will be a petrol engine on offer displacing either 1.5 L or 2.0 L. A 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox could be on the cards.
