The Nissan Terra has started reaching dealerships in China. Here’s a walkaround video of the new SUV, showing its exterior and interior in detail.
The Nissan Terra is based on the third-gen Nissan Navara pickup truck and the successor to the Nissan Xterra. The new frame SUV is a direct competitor to the Ford Endeavour (Ford Everest), Toyota Fortuner (Toyota SW4), Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Isuzu MU-X. It is designed closely to the pickup truck it is based on, but features a more contemporary front fascia and a distinctive rear fascia, to differentiate itself as a PV.
The Nissan Terra is 4,882 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,835 mm high. It has a 2,850 mm wheelbase. While reports said that it is a 7-seat SUV, the display unit does not have third row seats. However, there is apparently enough space to offer two more seats at the back as an option.
The Chinese-spec Nissan Terra employs a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 184 hp and 236 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic. The display model is equipped with a 4WD system, but it is unknown whether this is included as standard or is optional.
