Honda may launch a premium commuter at the 2018 Auto Expo next month, reports CarandBike. It could either be a 125 cc or a 150 cc motorcycle.
Going by Honda’s plan of launching four new two-wheelers this financial year, the brand has already launched the Cliq, Grazia, and the Africa Twin. As per the media site’s sources, the company will not be launching premium (mid-capacity) products. The upcoming product will reportedly be a commuter motorcycle, and if it is a 125 cc bike, it could be positioned above CB Shine and Shine SP.

The media house opines that if it is a 150 cc motorcycle, it could be the new CBR 150R. The new 150R is already on sale in foreign markets like Indonesia. The design of the bike is different from the now-discontinued motorcycle. The new CBR 150R gets more aggressive bodywork, and an all-LED lighting system. It uses a 150 cc single cylinder DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant is good for 17.1 PS and 14.4 Nm.

However, there is no official word from Honda yet. Expect more details about the upcoming bike at the Expo. If Honda launches the new CBR150R, it could be an apt rival to the upcoming Yamaha R15 v3.0.
