Aftermarket accessories outlet, Decibel, has shared images of the 2018 Maruti Swift equipped with a sunroof. Maruti does not offer the Swift, or for that matter, any product with a sunroof.
The product installed by the outlet is the H100 by Webasto. It is a pop-up type sunroof without a sliding glass feature. The post does not mention the cost or duration of the installation. However, a quick online search revealed a retail price of around INR 18,000 for the Hollandia 100 model. Webasto claims that the glass protects against UV radiation. It has a manually operated hatch so, no electrical connections are required.
Launched in January 2018, the third generation Maruti Swift racked up more than 90,000 bookings in a span of under two months. It commands a waiting period of 4-5 months currently. Maruti offers the Swift in 12 configurations. Buyers can choose from 1.2 L K12 Petrol and 1.3 L DDiS Diesel engines. Both variants can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
The Maruti Swift petrol range is priced between INR 4.99 lakhs and INR 7.29 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The diesel variant retails in the INR 5.99 lakhs to INR 8.29 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) price band.
