The 2018 Maruti Swift has started reaching dealerships, images posted by Team-BHP forum member Dr. Naren have revealed. The market launch was expected to take place on 7 February, but according to the forum member, that will happen on 9 February.
With the latest lifecycle makeover, the Maruti Swift has entered its third generation. The 2018 Maruti Swift features an evolutionary design and is underpinned by the new Heartect platform. The redesigned model is 3,840 mm long (-10 mm), 1,735 mm wide (+40 mm) and 1,530 mm (± 0 mm) tall. It has a 2,450 mm (+20 mm) wheelbase. The boot space has improved by 58 litres to 268 litres.
As before, 1.2-litre VVT petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS 190 diesel, are the available engine options. The naturally aspirated petrol engine is tuned to deliver 84.3 PS and 113 Nm of torque. The turbocharged diesel engine produces 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque. 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual are the transmission choices.

On the outside, the 2018 Maruti Swift features LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, electrically powered mirrors, 15-inch precision-cut alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. Inside, the car is equipped with features likes automatic climate control, engine start/stop button, leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel and Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD and BA are standard, while reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera are available.
