The new Volvo XC60 T8 R-Design is being showcased at the ongoing Thai Motor Expo. Volvo launched the SUV in Thailand last month in D4 and T8 Plug-in Hybrid variants. The T8 R-Design pictured here is the most expensive spec Volvo offers the XC60 in.
The R-Design spec sets itself apart from the Momentum spec by using a slightly different set of front and rear bumper, more angular exhaust tips, 19 inch 5-double spoke matt black diamond cut alloy wheels, and grille.
The T8 Twin Engine features a supercharged and turbocharged 320 hp petrol engine that powers the front wheels. The rear wheels are driven by an 87 hp electric motor. The Volvo XC60 T8 has a combined power and torque output of 407 hp and 640 Nm respectively. It can go up to 28 miles (45 km) in electric-only mode. The 400 V/10.4 kWh high-voltage battery pack recharges in just two and a half hours, but only when the optional 16-amp fast-charging cable is used. A full charge via the standard three-pin plug cable takes between three and a half hours (at 10 amps) and six hours (at 6 amps).
The entry-level Volvo XC60 D4 Momentum diesel is priced at THB 3,090,000 (INR 6,115,054). The range-topping T8 R-Design spec retails for THB 3,590,000 (INR 7,104,544).
