The Tata Tiago Sport was rumoured to hit the market last year, but that hasn’t happened so far. According to Team-BHP forum member RavenAvi, Tata Motors will launch the Tata Tiago Sport by February 2018.
The Tata Tiago Sport will go on sale as the smallest hot hatch in India. It is likely to have a budget-friendly sporty styling achieved with an aero kit, body graphics, catchy colour scheme and unique alloy wheels. The aero kit may lead to some changes in the dimensions. The standard Tata Tiago is 3,746 mm long, 1,647 mm wide and 1,535 mm tall.
Under the hood, the Tata Tiago Sport will have the Tata Nexon’s 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. This turbocharged three-cylinder develops 110 PS at 5,000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque from 1,750-4,000 rpm. The Sport variant may have a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, and a stiffer suspension setup. Inside, Tata Motors could equip it with sports seats, alloy pedals and unique trim on the door panels, centre console, and air vents.
