The 2017 Maruti Dzire was launched in India in May 2017. In just five months from launch, the sub-compact sedan has crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone. Maruti Suzuki claims that this is the fastest 1-lakh sales mark in the Indian automobile history.
The 2017 Maruti Dzire is currently one of the best sub-4 metre sedans available in the market. Maruti Suzuki has equipped the car with many premium features such as LED projector headlamps with daytime running lamps, power folding ORVMs, LED rear combination lamps, engine push start-stop button, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dual airbags and ABS with EBD and BA are standard.
The 2017 Maruti Dzire is available with 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDiS 190 diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 61 kW (81.77 hp) and 113 Nm of torque. The diesel engine develops 55 kW (73.73 hp) and 190 Nm of torque. 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual are the transmission choices. Nearly 17% customers opted for the latter till September 2017. The small sedan’s fuel economy rating is 22 km/l (petrol)/28.4 km/l (diesel).

The 2017 Maruti Dzire’s prices range from INR 5,42,706-8,36,937 (petrol)*/INR 6,34,855-9,39,084 (diesel)*. Colour choices include Oxford Blue, Gallant Red, Sherwood Brown, Magma Grey, Silky Silver and Pearl Arctic White.
