Toyota has silently rolled out an update to the Toyota Innova Touring Sport in India. The additional variant of the popular MPV was launched in the country in May.
When launched originally, the Toyota Innova Touring Sport had its 2GD-FTV 2.4-litre diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Now, Toyota has replaced this transmission with a 6-speed manual unit. The manual transmission option for the 2TR-FE 2.7-litre petrol engine is still a 5-speed unit. Other available configurations include 2TR-FE 2.7-litre petrol engine with 6-speed automatic transmission and 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre diesel engine with 6-speed automatic transmission.
With the update, the Toyota has replaced the Innova Touring Sport’s 16-inch black alloy wheels with 17-inch black alloy wheels. The diesel models now feature idle start/stop function. The touchscreen infotainment system now has built-in navigation, as standard. LED fog lamps are also a new addition to the list of features.
