The Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is as exclusive and memorable as the legendary Mercedes G-Class gets. After the Mercedes S-Class and Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet, it was this nearly four-decade-old no-frills go-anywhere utility vehicle Mercedes-Benz decided to add to its Maybach range of ultra-luxurious models.

"V12 BITURBO" lettering on the front wings and a chrome-plated double louvre, 22-inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels with "Landaulet" lettering in the rim flanges, carbon-fibre wheel arches, electrically extending side steps, front and rear underride guards and chrome-plated screen on the radiator grille and a spare wheel mounted on the right at the rear, with integral holder for the third brake light are some of the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet's exterior highlights, to begin with. Four designo paint choices are available, including a matte finish.

The Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is 5,345 mm long, 2,110 mm wide and 2,235 mm in height. It has a 3,428 mm-long wheelbase, 578 mm longer than that of the Mercedes G-Class. The Maybach G 650 Landaulet has first-class, electrically multi-adjustable individual rear seats, which the passengers can set to a fully reclined position. The seats have inflatable air chambers to provide high seating comfort and excellent lateral support, and feature ENERGIZING massage function too. The two-tone designo upholstery with diamond stitching is available in four trim colours.

There is a large business centre console with is cup holders and folding tables integrated into it. The passengers can use the table tops as a base for writing too, and even to keep their notebook or tablet on firmly, thanks to the leather inserts. There's a glass partition between the driver's section and the rear compartment seats, and the controls for opening or closing it is integrated behind the cup holders. To ensure complete privacy, the rear seat passengers can change the glass from transparent to opaque simply at the press of a button. In front of the cupholders, there's a control for the rear air conditioning.

There are three pushbutton switches on the middle centre console, one for the interior lighting and the other two to open or close the soft top. Customers may choose from three different matching colours for the fabric top. The rear G cockpit includes two glove compartments also, as well as grab handles. The cross-member holding the glass partition has two 10-inch high-resolution media displays of the Individual Entertainment System.

The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is powered by the 6.0-litre Mercedes-AMG V12 biturbo engine that develops 630 PS and 1000 Nm of torque. 325/55 R 22 tyres, 450 mm of ground clearance, three fully-locking differentials and a low-ratio transfer case give the uber-class Gelandewagen's some serious off-road capabilities. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
