M&M has confirmed the introduction of the facelift of the Mahindra KUV100 before the end of 2017. IAB's automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering of the possible exterior changes the facelift could bring to the KUV100.

With the introduction of the Mahindra KUV100 facelift, the company aims to appeal to a wider audience who have turned away because of the heavy styling of the car.

Based on what spy shots reveal, the render shows the car with the new nose. The sunglass-like headlamps have been slightly re-profiled, and accommodate projector units. There is an increase in the size of the grille along with narrower chrome studs. The render also shows a sharper front bumper design with deeper set fog lamp enclosures and trapezoidal air intake replacing the current model's blacked out lower bumper.

The spider design alloy wheels have given way to a simpler 10 spoke smoked alloys. The Mahindra KUV100 render is finished in a dual tone orange-grey paint shade. Going by the pictures of camouflaged test mules and what the company has stated, the rear of the KUV100 will be redesigned to bring down the cuts and creases for a clean look.

On the inside changes are likely to be limited to new upholstery and a revised colour scheme for the dashboard. The top-spec K8 trim might gain a touchscreen AVN to bring the equipment at par with rivals. The 1.2 L mFalcon G80 petrol and 1.2 L mFalcon D75 diesel engines will continue powering the KUV100.

Mahindra could launch the KUV100 facelift around Diwali with no major changes expected to its current retail price of INR 4.58-7.36 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
