After a slew of spyshots and leaks, Isuzu India has finally launched the MU-X SUV for sale in India. It is available in a single variant and prices start from INR 23.9 Lakhs - INR 25.9 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Isuzu MU-X is the company's second SUV to launch in India, following and replacing the Isuzu MU-7. The Chevrolet Trailblazer-based SUV measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,840 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. It slots in the premium 7-seat ladder-frame SUV segment that comprises of the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
Powering the MU-X is a 3.0-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 130 kW (177 PS) at 3,600 rpm and 380 Nm of torque between 1,800 rpm and 2,800 rpm. It is fitted with a 5-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Shift and Brake Shift Lock as standard. A four-wheel drive system with Terrain Command control is available as an option. The MU-X is capable of averaging a fuel mileage of 13.8 km/l (4×2 AT model).
Some of the standard features include LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, dual-tone ivory-grey interior, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, 6-way power adjustment for the driver seat, 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system and roof-mounted 10-inch DVD system, Electronic Stability Control (ECS), Traction Control System (TCS) and dual front airbags.
