BSIV compliant Honda Dio launched at INR 49,312

The previous version of Honda Dio was also retailed in the UK under the brand name Honda Lead.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd has launched the 2017 Honda Dio with BSIV compliance. Apart from this the scooter also gets a few cosmetic and features update.

The 2017 Honda Dio is now BSIV compliant and gains LED position lamp, mobile charging socket, Auto Headlamp On and new graphics.

The Honda Dio continues to be powered by a 109.19 cc single cylinder, air cooled mill coupled to a V-matic gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 8.91 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The BSIV compliant Honda Dio tips the scales at 103 kg which is a reduction of 2 kg. The scooter has a ground clearance of 158 mm and a seat height of 765 mm.

Changes include new graphics, reworked speedometer, restyled front apron with a LED position lamp, Auto Headlamp On and a mobile charging socket. The Honda Dio gets 10-inch wheels and tubeless tyres. Brakes are drum at both ends and get Honda’s patented Combined Braking System with Equalizer.

Colour options for the 2017 Honda Dio include Pearl Sports Yellow, Vibrant Orange, Sports Red, Matte Axis Grey (metallic)Candy Jazzy Blue.

The Honda Dio BSIV is powered by the same 109.19 cc mill and is 2 kg lighter than the BSIII version.

Honda has priced the BSIV compliant Honda Dio at INR 49,132 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
