The successor to the Toyota Nav1 (2nd gen Voxy) has made its local debut at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show. Although prices have not been disclosed yet, the third gen, all-new Toyota Voxy is expected to start from Rp 450 million. It will be imported as a fully built unit from Japan.
Slotting under the Toyota Alphard, the Toyota Voxy MPV measures 4,710 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It will be powered by the 3ZR-FAE 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 152 PS at 6,100 rpm and 193 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT as standard.
The Voxy has a striking design typical of Toyota's Japanese MPVs, featuring aggressive intakes, sleek LED headlamps with separate pilot lamps, automatic sliding doors, vertical LED taillamps, sporty bumper and side skirts, chrome accents, dual tone alloy rims as well as front and rear parking sensors with a rear camera. It's only available in three colours: Inazuma Sparkling Black, Regular Black and White Pearl.
Inside, the Voxy has a dual tone chocolate brown and black theme. It has a brown leather wrapped dashboard with contrast stitching, semi-leather seats, and a leather wrapped steering wheel for a premium feel. Some of the equipment onboard include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, colour MID centrally located, cruise control, sunroof, automatic climate control, and a start/stop button.
