Along with the Voxy and C-HR, PT Toyota Astra Motor has unveiled the 2017 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. The TRD body kit looks slightly different from the same model sold in Thailand.
Compared to the model sold in Thailand, the Indonesia-spec Fortuner TRD Sportivo has large black plastic fog lamp enclosures, silver skid plates, TRD branding under the grille, new diamond cut alloy wheels, “TRD Sportivo” graphics on the tailgate and across the front door, and a larger rear spoiler. For now, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo exclusively gets rear disc brakes as standard.
Unlike its Thai counterpart, the Indonesia-spec version has a chocolate brown and black interior with faux wood trim, which is identical to the regular Fortuner. It offers the option of 7 seats spread across three rows, as well as comes equipped with power-operated tailgate, 4.2-inch colour MID, rear auto AC, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and rear camera, keyless entry with start/stop, and power operated driver's seat.
The TRD Sportivo is available in both petrol and diesel guises. The latter packs a 2.4-litre GD turbodiesel engine that develops 149 PS and 40.8 kg.m (400.11 Nm) of torque, while the former has the familiar 2.7-litre VVT-i petrol motor with 164 hp and 245 Nm of torque. Both are paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
