Launches in Australia in Q1 2017.
Toyota has revealed a mid-cycle facelift for the Toyota Corolla Altis, which will launch in the Australian market in Q1 2017. It could also be introduced in India later in the same year.
Changes in the front-end are inspired by Toyota's “Keen Look” and “Under Priority” design language. It features a thinner single slat grille highlighted by a chrome bar that runs into the redesigned LED headlamps with LED DRLs. It also gets a new bumper housing a three-slat radiator grille and foglamps. Changes at the rear are limited to new LED taillamps.
For the Australian market, the new Altis gets an advanced safety package that comprises of a pre-collision system (PCS), lane departure alert (LDA) and automatic high beam (AHB). The systems will rely on laser and a camera that’s housed at the top of the windscreen. Given that the Indian market has banned certain frequencies of radar in vehicles, don't expect the above features in the facelifted Altis.

Engine lineup has not been confirmed yet, although it is likely to retain the options in the current model. It includes a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with VVT-i that produces 138 hp and 173 Nm of torque, and a four-cylinder 1.4-liter diesel engine for the Indian market, which produces 88.4 PS and 205 Nm of torque through a 6-speed manual gearbox.
