Will feature cosmetic and equipment upgrades.
According to Autocar India, Toyota Kirloskar Motors will launch the facelifted Toyota Corolla Altis next year. The changes are mostly cosmetic and equipment upgrades, while the engine lineup could be left untouched.
Previewed by the model unveiled in Russia, the Corolla facelift gets LED headlamps with daytime running light strips, new upper grille embellished in chrome, a wider radiator grille integrated in the bumper and new LED clusters for the taillamps.
Inside, Toyota has slightly updated the HVAC controls and the HVAC vents on either side are now circular in shape. Build quality of the materials and upholstery used in the cabin have also been improved. In the center console, Toyota has equipped a new Touch 2 system with navigation as standard, while the instrument cluster features a 4.2 inch MID display with updated software.
Engine lineup will remain unchanged, reportedly. The 2017 Toyota Corolla for India will continue with a 140 hp 1.8L VVT-i petrol and an 88 hp 1.4L D-4D turbodiesel variant. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 7-step CVT unit.
