Made its world premiere in Russia.
The 2017 Toyota Corolla (facelift) made its world premiere at an event in Russia. Drive2.ru has photographed the facelifted Corolla up close, and posted a gallery of images for a better look.
Changes to the exterior include new LED headlamps with daytime running light strips, redesigned upper grille as well as a wider radiator grille that houses round foglamps. At the back, the new Corolla features new LED clusters for the taillamps and a thinner chrome garnish. Toyota has also increased the ground clearance from 135 mm to 150 mm.
Inside, changes are minimal. The HVAC controls have been re-designed with better lighting, while the HVAC vents on either side are now round in shape. Build quality of the materials and upholstery have also been improved. For the 2017 Corolla, Toyota has equipped a new Touch 2 system with navigation as standard, while the instrument cluster features a 4.2 inch MID display with updated software.

Toyota will reveal the engine options of the new Corolla closer to its launch this summer. They claim refinements have been made to the ride quality, electric power steering, and noise insulation in the cabin. Post its launch in Russia this year, the Corolla facelift is expected in the Indian market next year.
