To be unveiled in Japan on December 27, reportedly.
A brochure of the next generation Suzuki Swift (2017 Maruti Swift) has leaked online, revealing the final exterior and interior design, specification, variant walk-around and prices of the JDM-spec model.
For the Japanese market, Suzuki will launch two types of Swift: a regular model (XL, XG and Hybrid) and RS model (RS, RSt, Hybrid RS). The model that was leaked earlier this month is, according to the brochure, the RS model, featuring a sportier body kit and red embellisher across the grille. The RS comes in five colours: Red, Blue, White, Black and Gun Metal Grey.
The brochure also give us a first look at the new Swift in its regular avatar. The exterior is an evolutionary step up from the outgoing model, with cues borrowed from the Baleno and previous Swift. It's not surprising that Suzuki made the new design easily recognisable, even without the 'Swift' badge on its tailgate.
The interior, however, has received a bigger overhaul. It looks cleaner, more contemporary and could have better perceived quality than the outgoing model. Some of the noticeable features include a new flat-bottom steering wheel with sleek buttons, twin pod instrument dials with a large multi-info display, new center console design with circular HVAC vents and new HVAC controls, and an optional touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.
