The Suzuki Baleno is now on sale in Australia, starting at AU$15,990 (plus on-road costs). The exclusively India-made hatchback is available in two grades: GL and GL Turbo.
The AU-spec Suzuki Baleno measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width and 1,470 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,520 mm and a ground clearance of 120 mm. The Baleno GL is powered by a 1.4-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine (borrowed from the Maruti Ciaz) that produces 68 kW (92 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It can be had with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Baleno GLX Turbo is powered by the 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 82 kW (110 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 1,500-4,000 rpm. This engine is available only with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Noteworthy features of the Baleno GL include LED daytime running lights, foglights, electrically adjustable door mirrors, leather covered tilt steering wheel, cruise control and touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility. The Baleno GLX Turbo benefits from HID projector headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, keyless entry and start system, automatic climate control and tilt and telescopic steering wheel.
