The facelifted Accord Hybrid's changes are most notable at the front where it gets new headlights, 2016 Honda Civic-inspired upper grille, redesigned air dam grille, new bumper and new horizontal LED daytime running lights. The rear-end features revised tail light graphics. Some changes have been made inside as well, like the new instrument panel to name one.

Th Honda Accord Sport Hybrid is powered by the i-MMD (intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) two-motor hybrid system that consists of a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle engine and twin electric motors. The combustion engine develops 105 kW (141 hp) and 165 Nm of torque, while the AC synchronous permanent-magnet propulsion motor linked to drive wheels generates 124 kW (166 hp) and 307 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission.
