Mercedes is expanding the Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupe range with a second model – the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe which was shown at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show today. The C 43 Coupe marks the beginning of more entry-level AMG models, with more Mercedes-AMG cars set to add a '43' model in their range.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe makes use of a six-cylinder engine, not an eight-cylinder one like the range-topping Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe. The Affalterbach-based development teams have put in a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine.

Paired to the new 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, the V6 engine makes 270 kW (367 hp) at 5,500-6,000 rpm and 520 Nm of torque at 2,000-4,200 rpm. Power is distributed through an AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. 0-100 km/h can be reached in 4.7 seconds, but the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Noteworthy exterior features of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe include distinctive air intakes, diamond meshes, silver chrome trim, matt iridium silver diffuser insert in the rear apron, black door mirror housings, high-gloss black waistline trim strip and window frame, and two chrome-plated tailpipes with centre divider.

Interior highlights include multifunction, flat-bottom steering wheel in black leather, ARTICO artificial leather/DINAMICA microfibre upholstery, instrument panel trimmed with ARTICO and usage of the same artificial leather on the upper edges of the body, the armrests, the door centre panels and the centre console.

Red contrasting topstitching, designo red safety belts, black floor mats with red edging and aluminium trim pieces with light-tone longitudinal grain inserted in the instrument panel and the doors round up the interior features.
