The VW Polo Vivo Sedan will continue serving as the entry level sedan option.
Carmag reports that the VW Ameo sub-4m sedan will not be sold in South Africa, despite being one of VW India's export markets. The Ameo will be an India-exclusive model when it launches in H2 2016.
Thus the VW Polo Vivo Sedan will continue serving as the entry level sedan option, which is based on the previous generation VW Polo. However, it's not as generously equipped as the VW Ameo, which comes with a rear view camera, MirrorLink entertainment system, auto dimming internal mirror, ABS and dual front airbags as standard in all variants, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, automatic AC, cornering lights, and front center armrest with rear AC.
The VW Ameo is available in petrol and diesel variants. Diesel power is sourced from a 1.5-liter TDI engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG. As for the petrol variant, it packs a 1.2-liter three-cylinder MPI petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Like the VW Polo Vivo Sedan and Polo Sedan (VW Vento), the VW Ameo is basically a sedan version of the Polo hatchback. However, given the tax benefits of a sub-4m vehicle, the Ameo manages to cram the 3 box sedan proportions in under 4 meters.
