To be unveiled on September 8.
Toyota will unveil the next generation 2016 Toyota Prius on September 8, and have now released a new teaser, which appears to be the taillamp design of the model.
The 2016 Toyota Prius has already been revealed (albeit unofficially), sporting a striking and distinctive design that is also aero-efficient. Its design borrows cues from the Toyota Mirai FCV, and has a blackened C-Pillar for a floating roof impression.
Underneath the sculpted body, the 2016 Prius expected to get an updated version of the company’s Hybrid Synergy Drive system which, according to reports, also feature a revised 1.8-liter petrol engine with higher efficiency. The gasoline unit will be paired to two electric motors and a CVT gearbox. Reports suggest that the Prius will have a pure electric range of 30 miles (48.2 km).
The 2016 Toyota Prius will make its motor show debut at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt on September 2015.
