Launched in Indonesia in 12 variants.
The 2016 Toyota Innova was premiered to the world at an event in Indonesia yesterday and it was launched as well in the nation. This is the second generation model that has been released after about 11 years since the Innova MPV was first introduced to the world (the first gen Innova also had its premiere in Indonesia).
The new generation model sits on a re-engineered ladder-frame chassis that underpins the 2016 Toyota Hilux Revo pickup and the 2016 Toyota Fortuner SUV. The 2016 Innova measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,795 mm in height and 2,750 mm in wheelbase, and features a significantly revised design both on the exterior and the interior.
The new model is characterized by a narrow, horizontal headlamp cluster housing LED projector headlamps, a halogen headlight and LED DRL units. The front fascia is dominated by the twin-slat chrome grille on the upper portion of the sizable, hexagonal air-dam.
The lower corner of the front bumper hosts the foglamps. The side profile has a large and edgy day-light opening, a triangular D-pillar, chrome caps on side mirrors and door handles, and 17-inch alloy wheels (on select variants). The rear fascia features a roof-lip spoiler, inverted-L-shaped taillight consoles and a shark-fin antenna.
