Debuts on August 1 in Thailand.
Mitsubishi has released yet another video teaser of the 2016 Pajero Sport (2016 Mitsubishi Challenger/2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport), ahead of its world premiere at the 2015 Bangkok Big Motor Sale, which starts on August 1, 2015.

Inspired by the Dynamic Shield design, the 2016 Pajero Sport gets the X-shaped grille, the redesigned headlight enclosures, and the vertically-oriented taillight clusters which feature LED elements. Leaked images have shown the profile of the new Pajero Sport to resemble the current generation model, though overall length seems to have been increased on the new model, predictably for better interior room and better crash protection.
Based on the same ladder-frame chassis as the new Mitsubishi Triton pickup, the 2016 Pajero Sport will be the next recipient of the 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque on the Triton. Paired to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, the 2016 Pajero Sport will continue to be offered in 2WD and 4WD guises, the latter using the brand's Super Select 4WD system.
An Indian market introduction of the new Pajero Sport will take place after February 2016. The Pajero Sport is the only model sold by Mitsubishi in India, and is assembled at HMFCL's (Hindustan Motor Finance Corp.) Tiruvallur plant through CKD kits.
