Mitsubishi says that the engine, tire and wind noise have been substantially reduced owing to more than 30 developments.
Under the hood, the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV’s hybrid system consists of a Twin Motor 4WD drivetrain comprising of a 2.0-liter motor on the front and electric motor at the rear axles that draws power from the high-capacity battery situated under the floor. The company says that the reduction in engine friction has led to CO2 emissions coming down to 42 g/km from 44 g/km.
