Prices have increased by 150-860 USD compared to the previous model.
CivicX has obtained the prices of the 2016 Honda Civic, which was unveiled last month. Prices for the 2016 Civic start at USD 18,640 (INR 12.07 lakhs) for the 2.0-liter i-VTEC and USD 22,200 (INR 14.38 lakhs) for the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo variant.
In comparison to the outgoing model, prices have increased between USD 150-860 (INR 9,719-55,723), though on the EX model, prices have dropped by USD 150. Also, only the base 2.0-liter variant of the new Civic is available with a 6-speed manual transmission; other models rely on Honda's CVT gearbox.
The 2016 Civic will be offered in the North American market with the 2.0-liter and 1.5-liter engines, the latter being turbocharged. According to reports, the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo is capable of 42 mpg (17.85 km/l) on the highway, and puts out 174 hp and 220 Nm of torque from 1,800 rpm. All variants of the Turbo VTEC Civic get a CVT gearbox as standard.

To recap, the tenth generation Civic is 30.8 kg lighter than its predecessor, as well as being 12 percent more aerodynamic and 25 percent torsionally rigid. At the tape, it is 1.2 inches longer in wheelbase, 2 inches wider, gets a further 2 inches of rear legroom and 73.6 liters of boot space, in comparison to the ninth generation model.
