Launch expected in India in H2 2015.
According to import-export website Zauba.com, one unit of the new 2016 Ford Endeavour (new Ford Everest) has been imported to Chennai, India, for R&D purposes. The new Endeavour imported for R&D duty is fitted with the range-topping 3.2-liter five-cylinder diesel engine, which is one of three engines announced for the new SUV.
The R&D unit was imported from Thailand, where the new Endeavour/Everest is expected to enter production soon. Apart from the Rayong plant in Thailand, the SUV will also be made in China, however its the former that will supply to India through the CKD route.
Apart from the 3.2-liter diesel, Ford has announced a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol and a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel as well. The company said that the new Endeavour will be available in 2WD and 4WD depending on specific market requirements.

Ford is yet to reveal the power outputs of these engines, or even the dimensional specifications of the new Endeavour. Reports have it that the SUV measures 4,882 mm in length, 1,862 mm in width, 1,836 mm in height and 2,850 mm in wheelbase.
