Ford revealed the new generation Everest (Endeavour for India) in November 2014, but did not disclose details as to the SUV's dimensions or even the engines' power and torque outputs. Thanks to Auto Sohu though, these details are no longer a secret.
The new Endeavour, according to this report, measures 4,882 mm in length, 1,862 mm in width, 1,836 mm in height and 2,850 mm in wheelbase. The SUV weighs a hefty 2,357 kg when powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine.
To put that size in perspective, the outgoing Endeavour measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,788 mm in width, 1,826 mm in height and 2,860 mm in wheelbase and weighs 2,014 kg.
Ford announced a 2.2-liter four-cylinder TDCi engine, a 3.2-liter five-cylinder TDCi engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine for the SUV. This report claims that the 2.2-liter unit has outputs of 147.5 bhp and 385 Nm of torque, the 3.2-liter develops 197 bhp and 470 Nm of torque, and the petrol engine is good for 234 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. The letter is equipped with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

The new Endeavour is expected to launch in India this year. Ford will bring the SUV through the CKD route assembling it at the Chennai plant. The new Endeavour is one of three launches planned by Ford India for 2015.
