Gets a CVT gearbox for better efficiency.
Dongfeng-Honda is showcasing the 2015 Honda CR-V (facelift) at the 2015 Chengdu Motor Show, which had made its Chinese debut at the Auto Shanghai 2015.
The facelifted Honda CR-V sports Honda's new ‘Solid Wing Face’ grille, re-profiled bumper, and an updated headlamp cluster with integrated LED daytime running lights. Changes at the rear include a slightly re-designed tailgate and a new chrome appliqué.
Unlike the exterior, the interior remains largely identical to the older model. The facelifted Honda CR-V comes with a new 7-inch multimedia infotainment system with HDMI, lane assist system and a three-angle reverse parking camera.
Under the hood, it continues to source power from a choice between a 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engines from the older CR-V. The range topping 2.4-liter engine is now paired to a CVT gearbox instead of a 5-speed AT, while an AWD system is optional.
The facelifted Honda CR-V is expected to be introduced in India later this year, and will continue being sold as a CKD model, with assembly taking place in Greater Noida.
