Could be officially unveiled on August 19.
Images revealing the front and rear of the forthcoming 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe have been published by Zero2Turbo, from what appears to be a pre-launch event. The website says that the official unveiling is on 19 August.
The 2016 Mercedes C63 AMG S Coupe gets its individuality through a single bar grille with the AMG lettering, a sporty lower air intake, aerodynamic side skirts, 'V8 Biturbo' badge and a trunk-mounted spoiler. The performance variant also has a more detailed rear bumper, a diffuser and a four-pipe exhaust system. To top these changes, the mirror caps and wheels are finished in a glossy black.
Expected under the bonnet is a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 503 bhp and 698 Nm of torque coupled to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission that accelerates the car from 0-100 km/h in about 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of about 289 km/h.
The entry-level Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe version would use the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine to develop (a lesser) 469 bhp and 648 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of about 4 seconds and an electronically-restricted max speed of 250 km/h.
