The India-bound V40 Cross Country petrol is reportedly firing the 1.6-liter Ford petrol engine with 185 PS output.

Under the hood is reported to be a 1.6-litre DOHC turbocharged engine sourced from Ford. The inline 4-cylinder engine features twin-independent variable camshaft timing, and comes with two state of applications internationally - 150 PS and 185 PS. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Though the power rating of the Indian-spec car is unconfirmed, it is likely that Volvo may go for the high-power 185 PS tuning, since the diesel engine is already making 152 PS, and petrol customers are pro-performance.
