No changes to the mechanicals of the bike.
TVS has introduced an updated 2015 model year Phoenix, which is priced at INR 51,900 for the drum brake model and INR 55,899 for the disc brake model, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
There are no mechanical changes on the 2015 Phoenix. The commuter motorcycle continues to be powered by a single-cylinder 124.53 cc engine capable of 11 PS at 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, matched to a 4-speed transmission.
Other specifications such as its 130 mm drum brakes (or the optionally fitted 240 mm front disc), the telescopic front suspension system and a 5-step adjustable rear suspension or even the 12 liter fuel tank continue without changes.
Where TVS has made changes is to the styling of the front fascia, and inclusion of new body graphics. The tank has been mildly restyled to look more aerodynamic, while the 'Phoenix' logo on the tank gets a 3D effect. The headlight clusters feature twin LED pilot lamps as well.
On the feature front, the 2015 Phoenix gets a Vehicle Locator Key (wherein the bike flashes its lights so that the owner can locate it easily in a crowded parking space) and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
