To go on sale in China in January 2015.
The 2015 Toyota Camry has made its Chinese debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2014. The premium sedan is all set to go on sale in the country next year.
The European version of the sedan which will also make it to India sometime next year is slightly different from its U.S. counterpart in terms of design. The Camry facelift features a new front fascia which is inline with the brand's latest design principles.
Revised headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a new chrome grille with parabolic slats, a hexagonal secondary airdam and chrome foglight housings characterize the redesigned sedan. The sides stay intact while the rear gets a new bumper. The interior features a new steering wheel with integrated controls, a modern instrument console and a subtly revised centre console.
Under the skin, the China-bound sedan gets a newer 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 17 bhp more at 176 bhp. The new motor will be produced by the Guangzhou-Toyota JV. The range-topping 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine continues as it is. Like the previous generation, a plug-in hybrid version is also on the cards.
The refreshed Camry and refreshed Camry Hybrid are expected to launch in India sometime next year.
