Update - The Q70 was shown at the Moscow Motor Show 2014, and a gallery from the show floor has been updated to this story.
Apart from showcasing the new QX80, Inifini also premiered the redesigned Q70 at the New York Auto Show today. Not only will Infiniti sell the regular version, but a long wheelbase variant with an additional 5.9 inches of wheelbase length will be sold alongside.
Key to its exterior design is the all-new LED headlights and LED taillights. The sedan now wears a double-arch grille, which is inline with other models from the brand. The Sport version of the Q70 adds additional styling bits such as 20-inch alloy wheels and bumper spoilers.
The new Q70 is available with three engine options. Starting the range is a 3.7-liter V6 capable of producing 330 hp and 366 Nm of torque. A more powerful 5.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) V8 sees 420 hp and 565 Nm of torque.
The hybrid Q70 combines a 3.5-liter V6 and a laminated lithium-ion battery design with a one-motor/two-clutch motor control. The V6 engine is rated at 302 hp and 350 Nm while the motor produces 67 hp and 290 Nm of torque.
Irrespective of the engine, all Q70's come with a 7-speed automatic transmission. Further details are available in the press release below.
