The ASEAN version of the 2015 Honda CR-V facelift has made its first regional public appearance at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2014 alongside the Modulo version. The SUV would be introduced in India sometime next year.
2015 Honda CR-V ASEAN
The facelifted version of the world's best selling SUV receives minor revisions to the front fascia such as redesigned headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, reworked 'Solid Wing Face' grille and a new bumper.
A slightly modified tailgate and a chrome strip are the changes to the rear fascia while the sides are untouched. The cabin's design has no design changes but the ASEAN model gains three-angle reverse parking camera, a new 7-inch multimedia infotainment system with HDMI, and lane assist system.
The 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engines have been retained without any changes but the range topping engine is now paired with a CVT instead of the pre-facelift car's 5-speed AT. Both FWD and AWD versions are offered on the 2015 Honda CR-V.
2015 Honda CR-V Modulo
The 2015 Honda CR-V Modulo adds more chrome to the grille and foglight enclosures in addition to a sharper skid plate. Visual enhancements to the side come in the form of exclusive alloy wheels, chrome lined greenhouse, chrome inserts on the wing mirror housings, chrome door handles and side scuff plates.
The shiny treatment is carried out to the exhaust finisher and a strip on the rear bumper. The CR-V Modulo also receives a prominent silver diffuser with pseudo air intakes. The dashboard gets a silver insert instead of the regular's faux wooden element and there are special floor mats too.
