Will go on sale across ASEAN region in the coming months.
A pre-production prototype of the 2015 Ford Ranger single cab has been spotted in Thailand, completely undisguised. With the amount of black plastic on the body, sporting steel wheels, and featuring a custom flat bed, we're guessing that this is the entry-level variant of the Ranger pick up that's being put to the test.
The Ranger facelift's styling is influenced by the new Ford Endeavour/Everest, as noticeable in the new hexagonal grille flanked by a redesigned set of headlamps. Both vehicles share the core hardware, and both are due to launch this year.
It remains to be seen if the new Ranger will get the updated dashboard and electronic suite from the 2015 Everest.
Depending on the market, currently engines come from three choices: a 2.2-liter Duratorq four-cylinder TDCi and a 3.2-liter Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel motors, as well as a petrol-powered 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine.
Customers can choose between a five-speed manual, six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, transferring the power to the rear wheels or all four wheels.
