New Endeavour coming to India next year.
The all-new 2015 Ford Everest (what will be known as the 2015 Ford Endeavour) had its public premiere at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2014 today. Ford has confirmed that the new SUV will launch in markets like India next year.
The new Endeavour is inspired by the Everest concept and looks a lot more butch than its predecessor. As Ford is yet to reveal the dimensions of the SUV, we don't know if the new Endeavour is larger or smaller than the model it replaces.
The Blue Oval has confirmed a 2.2-liter diesel, a 3.2-liter diesel and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol for the new Endeavour, with the 3.2-liter motor being a five-cylinder unit. 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions will be on offer, and depending on the market, Ford will offer rear-wheel drive or AWD.
The AWD models will get Ford's new Terrain Management System which allows the driver to choose between different driving modes such as Mud, Sand, Snow etc. Speaking about the off-road capability of the Endeavour, Ford says it has a water wading depth of up to 800 mm.
