Priced from ZAR 158,900 and ZAR 160,900 for hatchback and sedan respectively.
Ford has launched the Made-In-India second generation 2015 Ford Figo hatchback and Ford Figo sedan (the smaller version of which is sold here as the Figo Aspire) in South Africa. The hatchback is priced between ZAR 158,900 - ZAR 203,900 (INR 7.7 Lakhs - INR 9.9 Lakhs), while the sedan is priced between ZAR 160,900 - ZAR 205,900 (INR 7.84 Lakhs - INR 10.04 Lakhs).
Both models are influenced by Ford's current design language, as seen in the large sweptback headlamps, new grille, strong shoulder line and a cleaner rear-end design. Compared to its predecessor, the 2015 Figo is 91 mm longer, 15 mm wider, 98 mm higher and 2 mm longer wheelbase.
Inside, the design has also been revamped, now featuring a new SYNC infotainment system, familiar center console design, gear-shift indicator in the instrument cluster, and electronic climate control. It also comes with six airbags, ABS and EBS, while ESP with Hill Launch Assist is exclusive to the Titanium PowerShift variants.
The Ford Figo hatchback and sedan offer a 1.5-liter Ti-VCT petrol engine to South African customers with 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque on offer, which is paired to 5-speed manual or 6-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The Figo hatchback is also available with a 1.5-liter TDCi engine that produces 100 PS and 215 Nm, coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
