Gets a mildly revised front fascia.
The previous gen Chevrolet Cruze is gearing up for a minor refresh in the Brazilian market as evident from the recently spyshots clicked by Tatiana Kano, a reader of Autossegredos. The facelift exercise is aimed at squeezing more life out of the car which is being replaced by the new gen model in a phased manner.
The test mule features a disguised front fascia but the rest of the sedan remains unchanged. Going by the spyshots, one could expect a revised grille and bumper (similar to the US-spec facelift) with possible LED daytime running light strips within the foglight enclosures. While there is no information on the interior, a mild update can be expected.
The 2015 Cruze for the Brazilian market will continue with the existing 1.8-litre flex-fuel engine which produces 142 PS and 175 Nm of torque while running on ethanol. The motor is mated either to a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels.
Slated to be unveiled at the 2014 Sao Paulo Auto Show later this month, the Chevrolet Cruze facelift is reported to go on sale in the country by November 2014.
GM India updated the Cruze last year and it is expected that the new gen model could be launched in India in two year's time.
