Two petrol engines with manual and automatic transmission options.
The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze made its global sales debut in the Chinese market. The entry level D-segment sedan was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this year.
The new Cruze for China is manufactured by the Shanghai-GM JV. The design inspiration comes from the Chevrolet Tru which was unveiled in Beijing in 2012, and the sedan looks nothing like the model it replaces.
The characteristic design elements include sleek headlamps, a narrow grille, hexagonal secondary airdam, a steeply raked windshield and a muscular rear fascia. The dual-cockpit interior design is modern and is finished in a dual-tone brown and black color theme. The centre console features Chevy’s MyLink II multimedia infotainment system.
The China-spec sedan is available with a turbocharged 148 PS (145.9 bhp) 1.4-liter engine and a naturally-aspirated 112 PS (110.42 bhp) 1.5-liter unit. The former is available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission while the latter is equipped with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
