Aims to upset the Ford Transit.
The Hyundai H350 full-sized van has been showcased at the ongoing 2014 Paris Motor Show. Its world premiere was at the IAA 2014 Hanover last month.
The Ford Transit and Renault Master rival carries forward the South Korean automaker's signature passenger car styling like the hexagonal grille, sporty bumper and angular headlamps. Top-end variants even get the daytime running lights for an enhancement and clear identity.
The front fascia apart, the H350 is a traditional van which is available in different avatars such as passenger carrier, cargo van and flatbed truck. The commercial vehicle is offered in varying wheelbases of 3,435 mm and 3,670 mm which correspond to overall lengths of 5,515 mm and 6,195 mm respectively. The height also varies from 2,685 - 2,690 mm depending on the configuration. The van measures 2,038 mm in width.
The interior offers car-like steering wheel, instrument console and a centre console-mounted infotainment screen. Other highlights are the dashboard mounted gear lever and numerous storage spaces.
The Europe-specific van is powered with a 2.5-litre diesel engine available in two output states - 150 PS (147.9 bhp) with 373 Nm of torque and 170 PS (167.6 bhp) with 422 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on both the engine variants.
Hyundai claims that the H350 can carry up to 1.5 tonnes of cargo in its load bay and can tug trailers weighing up to 2.5 tonnes.
