It retains the pre-facelift model's 105 PS 1.2-litre TSI petrol motor mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The deliveries of the facelifted versions of the Polo GT TSI and Cross Polo have commenced much earlier than expected. At the launch of the regular variants of the Polo facelift in July, the manufacturer had announced that the Polo GT TSI, GT TDI and Cross Polovariants would be available post September only.
The refreshed Polo GT TSI receives the regular version's revised front fascia which features a new grille, headlamps with static cornering lamps and a restyled bumper with chrome inserts. The GT badge has been relocated to the right side of the grille from the left.
The driver focused hatchback retains the old version's wheels but gets glossy black ORVM housings. Coming to the rear, the 2014 Polo GT TSI can be identified by a glossy black roof mounted spoiler which was unavailable in the pre-facelifted model.
Inside, the full black interior with a piano black finish for the centre console and a special seat fabric stay unchanged. The car gets a revised instrument panel and the new flat bottomed three-spoke steering wheel.
The VW Polo GT TSI continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol motor which puts out 105 PS (103.5 bhp) and 175 Nm of torque. A 7-speed DSG automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels. The hot hatchback delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 17.21 km/l.
